Job Description

We are a scaling company looking for an experienced fractional CTO who can help get us to the next level, ready to scale. If you could help us redefine our technical strategy, architecture and processes and procedures, it would provide us with this basis. But also more operational procedures like incident management, SLA management, etc.

Current Setup

At this moment we have 23 people of which 12 in the engineering department. Our head of Engineering was the lead engineer and has stepped in to this role as well as a little bit the architecture role. We also have a team of product owners and a design team of 8 people. On top of that we have 8 from an external party in Portugal helping us out since 2 years – these people are spread across diferent teams and fullfil different roles. Our solution is based on ca. 23 individual components. In terms of tech stack we have some of the following items: AWS, .Net framework and they are considering using Angular as they would like to develop an app in the future (nice to have). Confluence and Jira are also being used.

Outcome

Grip, insights, more delivery capacity and more clarity and accountability within the engineering department.

Profile We Are Looking For

We would like the help of someone who is comfortable in writing up what you know and sharing it with us.

  • Someone who has scaled a company before and can combine reality and the entrepeneurial focus to deliver. True start- to scale experience.
  • No preference in terms of industry.
  • A certain amount of authority.
  • Comfortable to put information on paper.
  • Initially 1 to 3 days per week for 6 months
